Mother Child Welfare Project

       Sakthi Foundation extends its charity work to support a world-renowned mother & child welfare project, the "Yayasan Bumi Sehat" (Healthy Mother Earth) project in Indonesia, whose inspiration and head is Robin Lim.

        “Ibu” (grandmother) Robin Lim is a world-famous midwife, a respected author and a first class poet, whose passion for delivering babies with up-to-the-minute methods while respecting ancient rituals and traditions is perhaps unmatched anywhere.

       Robin has for years operated a mother/baby birthing and health clinic in Bali, Indonesia. Since the tsunami disaster of 2004 she has also run a similar clinic in Aceh province. which also treats emergency medical conditions and transports patients to a hospital several hours away.

     Robin is the recipient of the (European) 2006 Alexander Langer award for personal service to the world, and her organization has been recognized as the #1 non-governmental organization (NGO) in the province of Bali, Indonesia.

      Every year, the Sakthi Foundation receives a significant amount of donations which are earmarked for the support of Robin's organization. Her organization is registered as an Indonesian NGO, not as an American one--which gives her the benefit of greater acceptance and reduced red tape in Indonesia. This also, however, negates the ability of supporters in the U.S. to receive a tax exemption for donations directly to her organization.

    It is for this reason that Sakthi, a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt U.S. organization, is happy to process funds through itself, to Robin. When you donate in this fashion (and you are located in the U.S.), you will receive an acknowledgment letter which is useful for your own tax records.

2. By wiring funds to the Sakthi Foundation; contact us via email (donations@sakthifoundation.org) regarding this.


     

3. By transferring funds into Sakthi's PayPal account.    Clicking the button below will automatically earmark the donation for  Robin's Foundation.
